Switzerland is often treated as a footnote on a European media plan: swap the country name, keep the English outline, hope a .ch URL appears somewhere in the report. That approach produces citations that look tidy in a spreadsheet and do nothing for the queries that matter in Zurich, Geneva, Basel, or Lugano. LinkBuildingSwitzerland.com exists for the opposite brief: Swiss pages, Swiss language regions, Swiss neighbourhoods of links.
One market, four publishing cultures
Geographic relevance here is not a pin on a map. It is the language of the page, the desk that commissioned it, and the readers who still subscribe. We work with national newsrooms, Zurich and Geneva business titles, cantonal magazines, specialist trade sites, and English-facing Swiss outlets that already cover finance, life sciences, logistics, tourism, and B2B software. Deutschschweiz, Romandie, and Ticino are not interchangeable localisation tracks. Treating them as such is how campaigns quietly fail.
The people who plan, pitch, and review that work are named on the team page. There is no award wall and no invented partner network. Write to hello@link-building-switzerland.com; the postal address is Prime Tower, Hardstrasse 201, 15th Floor, Zürich 8005, Switzerland.
What we will not ship
A placement has to live on a page someone might read without being paid to. The language must match the query language you care about. The sentence must need the citation. Neighbouring outbound links cannot look like a paid cluster. If a prospect fails those tests, it stays off the delivery list, including at the end of a slow month.
We do not force exact-match anchors into sentences that cannot carry them. We do not guarantee rankings. We do not publish performance figures we did not measure. The blog is written to the same standard: useful whether or not you ever hire the desk.
The publisher file
Our working database holds more than 25,000 Swiss and .ch opportunities. Each month the outreach team contacts thousands of those publishers. Ahrefs Domain Rating and estimated traffic, Moz Domain Authority, and Majestic Trust Flow are refreshed so the columns you see later are not an old export. The file is a map of where conversations might start. It is not a menu of reserved slots, and no row is a promise that a placement will sell.
How a live campaign runs
You work with us by email, in English, German, French, or Italian as the brief requires. Deliverables are live URLs, not a private scoreboard. Tool metrics travel with each URL because we keep the file current, but they never replace opening the page. When an editor has not replied, you hear that the reply is outstanding. We do not quietly substitute a leftover URL to keep a report looking full.
Quality control is a person reading the live article. Wrong destination, broken register, or a neighbourhood that has degraded after publication means we go back to the publisher. That URL does not count as done.
While work is open
We do not invent office-hour theatre or promise a fixed reply window. What we do promise is that a question about a live URL is answered by looking at that URL, not by pasting a metric into an email. Delays are reported as delays. Post-publication rewrites are reported when they change the citation. Monthly PDFs that always look busy are how buyers lose track of what they actually received.
Who should look elsewhere
If you need volume with a metric sticker attached, we are the wrong desk. The same applies if you want machine-translated copy sold as journalism, or if Switzerland is only a language toggle on a pan-European quota. If you have Swiss destination URLs, a clear market, and a preference for work you could show a sceptical SEO lead without apology, start on the contact page.
